Skriptly Loader

Licensed scripts in one line

A small, open-source Paper plugin that loads the scripts you've bought straight into Skript.

Install

  1. 1

    Add the plugin

Put SkriptlyLoader.jar in your plugins/ folder next to Skript and restart. It needs Paper (or a fork) on Java 17 or newer, and Skript 2.7 or newer.

    Download SkriptlyLoader.jar· v0.1.0 · 57 KB

  2. 2

    Load your script

Copy the snippet from your licenses into any script, for example plugins/Skript/scripts/licensed.sk:

    on load:
load licensed skript "shop-system" with key "SKR-7F2K-QX9P-M4TD-8HWN"

To hold back an update that breaks your setup, pin a version:

    on load:
load licensed skript "shop-system" version "2.0.1" with key "SKR-7F2K-QX9P-M4TD-8HWN"
  3. 3

Or skip the script and use the config

Scripts listed in plugins/SkriptlyLoader/config.yml load when the server starts:

    licenses:
      - script: shop-system
        key: SKR-7F2K-QX9P-M4TD-8HWN
        # version: 2.0.1
  4. 4

    Check it's running

/skriptly status lists each licensed script, its version and when it last checked in. /skriptly reload fetches updates. Both need the skriptly.admin permission.

Nothing readable on disk

The script is decrypted in memory and handed straight to Skript. The loader never writes it to a file, not even to a cache.

Bound to your server

On first run the loader creates a random server ID. A license only works on as many server IDs as it has slots, and you can move a slot from your dashboard once a week.

Survives outages

It keeps an encrypted copy from its last check-in. If Skriptly can't be reached, that copy keeps working for up to 72 hours.

Updates and kill switch

It checks in every 30 minutes. New approved versions load on the next restart or /skriptly reload. A revoked license or a pulled script stops at the next check-in.

Open source

Anything that downloads and runs code on your server should be auditable. The loader's full source is public, in the loader/ folder of the Skriptly repository.

Honest about limits

No loader can stop a determined server owner from copying code that runs on their own machine. This one stops casual sharing, and every copy is watermarked so a leak can be traced to its license and revoked.

What it sends to Skriptly

Your license key, the script's name and version, and the random server ID. Like any web request, Skriptly also sees your server's IP address, which is used to spot one license running in two places at once. The loader sends nothing about your players, worlds or other plugins.
