When something goes wrong

Loader messages, scripts that broke, refunds and reports.

Most problems are one of a few things. Here they are, with what to do.

The loader says no

When you run /skriptly reload or start the server, the console shows why a script wouldn't load:

You seeWhat it meansWhat to do
That doesn't look like a Skriptly license keyThe key is mistyped or cut off.Copy it again from Dashboard > Licenses. Keys look like SKR-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
That license key doesn't exist (invalid_key)The key isn't one of ours.Check for a typo or a key from somewhere else.
This key is for "x", not "y" (wrong_script)You used one script's key for another. Each script has its own key. Use the matching one.
This license is already used on N of N servers (seat_limit)Every slot is taken by other servers.Remove an old server under Dashboard > Licenses (once a week), or buy a network license.
This license has been revoked (revoked)It was refunded or revoked for breaking the terms.See your licenses page, or the refund policy.
This script is currently unavailable (unavailable)It was taken down, or no version is available.Nothing to do on your side. Check the script's page.
Too many requests (rate_limited)The loader asked too often.Wait a minute and try again.
It runs, but says "offline copy"Skriptly can't be reached. It keeps running for up to 72 hours. See the status page.

If the status page shows everything working and a script still won't load, note the line the loader printed and include it when you contact support (the refund policy says how). Please never put your license key in anything public.

It broke after an update

Skript and its addons change fast, and an update can break a script that used to work. This is the most common problem.

  1. Pin a version that works, if you know one, with version "x.y.z" on your load line, so the server stops updating it.
  2. Use Broke after an update? on the script's page. Choose the script version, your Skript and Minecraft versions and any addons, and say what stopped working. It's Discord-DMed to the creator, who can answer that they're looking into it or that it's fixed, and you're DMed when they do.
  3. Check the listing. What you bought is the compatibility listed when you bought it, so a script not working on a version it never listed isn't a fault.

Your report is dated, and the refund policy counts from that date: if a paid script stops working because of an update and isn't fixed within 30 days of your report, Skriptly may offer a partial refund. A report isn't a refund request on its own. See the refund policy for everything that applies.

Refunds

Read the refund policy: it covers your legal rights, when we'll refund, and when we won't. When a purchase is refunded, its license is revoked and servers using it stop at their next check-in.

Reporting a script

If a script does something harmful, isn't what it says, or isn't the creator's to sell, use Report on its page. A moderator reads every report. You can also report a review. See the content policy.

Your account

  • Discord is the only way to sign in. Skriptly requests only your Discord identity (never your email), and never stores the temporary access token or a password.
  • Don't want optional Discord notices? Turn them off in Settings. Receipts and confirmation codes still send.
